SINKS GROVE, WV – William Ray Eggleston, age 68, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at the Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. Born February 22, 1958, he was the son of the late William Roy and Aileen Elizabeth Dunbar Eggleston. William worked at the Jiffy Foam Plant in Ronceverte. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching wrestling. He was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Mellard and husband Keith of Gap Mills, WV; siblings, Charlene Nicholas and husband Bill of Lewisburg, Rodney Eggleston and wife Christina of Gap Mills, and Kenneth Eggleston and wife Kimberly of Sinks Grove; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Freddie Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery in Pickaway, WV, with Jason Spencer, Steven Spencer, Jesse Spencer, Ryne Spencer, Brandon Eggleston, and Isiah Spencer serving as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the funeral home.
