UNION, WV – William Joseph “Billy” Edwards passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026. Born April 10,1959, at Larson Air Force Base in Moses Lake, Washington, Billy lived the majority of his life in Union, WV, with his family.

Billy was born a special needs child, the result of which impaired his emotional growth. Physically he became quite the man, but emotionally Billy remained the sweetest child until his death.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Harrison Edwards, and mother, Berniece Edwards. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Brown.

He is survived by brother, Roger Smith (Judy) of Union, and sister, Joanie Edwards Newton (Rick), also of Union. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Services will be held Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00PM, followed by funeral services at 2:00PM, with Pastor George Clarkson officiating. Interment will be held at Carmel Cemetery in Gap Mills.
