UNION, WV --- William Allen Caldwell, age 54, of Union, WV, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 9:57 a.m. at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mt., VA. Allen had been fighting COVID-19 for about a month, and unfortunately, lost his battle. Allen was born January 13, 1968 in Union, WV, and was the son of Agnes Spangler Caldwell of Union, WV, and the late William Roscoe Caldwell. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Sue Caldwell and Donna Frances Hedrick. In addition to his mother, he leaves behind one sister, Nancy Caldwell Cary of Salem, VA, and lots of nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Allen was a tractor trailer driver all his life. He loved being on the road in his big truck. The Family would like to thank all of his fellow truckers who were like another family to him. They called him "Chicken Man". Allen will be greatly missed, and he was well loved by all.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Keenan, WV. The family will receive friends from Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
