LEWISBURG, WV --- Wendy JoAnn Thomas, age 45, of Lewisburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV, following short illness. Born September 24, 1975 in Union, WV, she was the daughter of Lewis W. Thomas of Hampton, VA and Betty Lephew Burns of Ronceverte, WV. Wendy was a graduate of Union High School and went on to further her education at ECPI Computer Institute in Roanoke, VA. She had worked nineteen years for Walmart, and she had also been employed at Papa John's Pizza. Wendy loved her family and friends. She also loved her faithful doggy companion, "Peaches".

Preceding her in death was, her paternal grandparents, Marion and Isabelle Thomas; maternal grandparents, Elby and Louella Lephew; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her little dog, Haley. In addition to her parents, she was survived by her two brothers, Patrick Thomas of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Jason Thomas of Sinks Grove, WV; one niece, Tayona Thomas of Nebraska; two nephews, Roman Thomas and Jackson Thomas, both of Sinks Grove, WV; special friend, Cindy Stover of Ronceverte, WV, and her loving dog, "Peaches".

In keeping with Wendy's wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Jonathan Turner officiating.
