PETERSTOWN, WV --- Vivian Catherine Biggs Comer, 87 of Peterstown passed away Friday night, December 15, 2017 at her home following a short illness.
She was born at Wikel, WV, December 29, 1929 a daughter of the late Mason Wilson and Beulah Jeanette Morris Biggs.
Mrs. Comer was a homemaker and she attended the Orchard Christian Center at Ballard.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Hanson Comer; a son, Gary Hanson Comer; a grandson, Carl Andrew "Drew" Comer, III; a great grandson, Timothy Smith; 4 brothers, Edward, Kyler, Wallace and James Biggs; 2 sisters, Sylvia Thornton and Carol Biggs.
Surviving are 4 children, Judy Comer Richardson and husband Jerry of Hinton, Steve Comer and wife Jeannette of Lindside, Carl A. Comer and wife April Dawn of Wikel, and longtime caregiver and daughter, Debbie K. Ward and husband Freddie of Peterstown; 14 grandchildren, April K. Gravely and companion Robert Mebane, Amy Gravely Hunt and husband Tim, Michael Bo Comer, Erin Sowers and husband Jared, Seth Comer, Clay Comer, Corey Ward, Kaycie Suttle and husband Catlin, Shelia Hughes and husband Rusty, Wesley Comer and wife Misty, Rachael Smith and husband Alex, Johnathan Comer, Leah Hicks and husband Adam, Laura Morgan and husband Chris; a granddaughter-in-law, Jami-Lynn Comer; 15 great grandchildren, Samantha Rice McCroskey and husband Aaron, Kristen Audrey Johnson, Timothy Brady Hunt, Sydney Grace Hunt, Catherine Comer and Micah Sowers, Ivy Hughes Wickline and husband Dakota, Olivia Hughes, Christian Smith and Nathanael Smith, Abigail Hicks, Ivan Morgan, Harleigh Morgan, Laken Comer and Matthew Comer; 3 great great grandchildren, Wyatt Monroe McCroskey and Paislee Katherine McCroskey and Rhett Wickline; a brother, Harry Biggs and wife, Louise of Lindside, 3 sisters, Joyce Crawford and husband Bobby of Lindside, Sarah Jane Bowers and husband Richard of Lindside and Nancy Biggs of Wikel and a sister-in-law, Daisy Biggs. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm. Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Orchard Christian Center with Pastor Rusty Hughes officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Memorial Gardens at Lindside, WV.
