Obituary

UNION, WV--- Virginia Evelyn Patton Mullins, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the Springfield Center in Lindside, WV. Born February 2, 1933 at War, WV she was the daughter of the late Elder Emit L. and Maggie Blanche Jordan Patton. Mrs. Mullins was a loving and caring homemaker and had previously worked for the FMRS Mental Health in Union before her retirement. She was a member of the Laurel Hill Regular Baptist Church in Trout, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elder Roy Lee Mullins; a grandson, Roger Glenn; one step-son, Roger Lee Mullins; five half- brothers, Williams Francis Patton, Everett Patton, Fred Patton, Albert Patton, and John Patton; three half-sisters, Emma Lou Brewer, Beatrice Della Asbury, and Dovie Mae Patton; one niece, Connie McGraw.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Gail Boone of Lindside, WV; one son, Roy Bea Boone, Jr. of Bunker Hill, WV; five step-children, Phyllis Mae Murray of Cherry Tree, PA, James Henry Mullins of Princeton, WV, Bonnie Marie Cook of Resaca, GA, Clyde Ray Mullins of Jackson, MO, and Tammie Jane Mullins of Hinton, WV; one half-brother, Andrew Jackson Patton of Falls Church, VA; one half-sister, Piney Irene Altizer of Falls Church, VA; two grandchildren, Jessica and Michael; seventeen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, to name a few, Wanda Sue Mills, Lorenzo Dale Patton, Marcia Lois Mills, James Eric Patton, and Linda Jane Milam; Carol and Tommy Horton, Solomon and Hazel Lane's family – seven children and their families; Diane and Kenny Graham, Madeline and Dorman Weikle; Calvin and Vada Amos; Catherine and Millie Lane, Carol Barlow, Bob and Jeanie Ratliff and many other "Family Members" in the Lord.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Phil Hunt, Pastor Bob Ratliff, and Pastor Terry Kornegay officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebonon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
