Virgil Ray Hoke, 71, of Sinks Grove passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Mr. Hoke was born at Hollywood, W. Va., March 3, 1943, a son of the late Cassius Alva and Barbara Lee Bostic Hoke.
He was a logger.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Waddell.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Lou Hendricks Hoke of Sinks Grove; 3 daughters, Cindy Holley of Inwood, WV, Pamela Brown of Hedgesville, Wv, Shelby Justice of Forest Hill; an adopted son, Devin Hoke of Rich Creek; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; siblings, Alvin Hoke, Lawrence Hoke, Vernie Ramsey, Vinnie Childers, Alma Hoke, Tina Weikle, Edna Johnson, Lillian Hoke, Lena Hoke and Wanda White.
Graveside Rites will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the
Vance Cemetery at Hollywood with Revs. Donald Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Vance Cemetery at Hollywood.
There will be no public visitation.
Groves Funeral Home in Union is in charge of arrangements.
