COVINGTON, VA --- Violet Feury Kirk, age 94, of Covington, VA, passed away, Thursday, December 20, 2018 and is now with her Lord and Savior in Heaven. Born May 6, 1924 at Glace, WV, she was the daughter of the late Henry Elliott and Larmie Spence. Violet was a longtime resident and farmer of Covington, VA.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Feury; infant children, Jo Ann, Bonnie and Ronnie Feury; her second husband, Willie Kirk; two sisters, Helen Hoke and Castileen Hoke; and three brothers, James, Dwight, and Danny Spence. Survivors include, her son, Richard Ray Feury and wife Karen of Hendersonville, NC; one brother, Donald and sister-in-law, Jean Spence of Lindside, WV; Also, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel at Union, WV with Rev. Buddy Burks officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery at Glace, WV. Friends may call Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. NOTE: Please no visitors to the family home.
