UNION, WV---Vernon "Sonny" Noble, age 82, of Union, WV passed away September 2, 2014 at the Springfield Nursing Center, Lindside, WV. Sonny was born on April 22, 1932 at Neoponset, WV he was the son of the late Author and Linnie Spangler Noble. Sonny was a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church. He was a familiar face at the Monroe County Courthouse. Sonny was also an avid lover of country music, western movies, and horses.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Irene N. Karnes and a brother, Genie Noble.
Survivors include a niece Frances K. Irwin and husband Jim; a nephew, Tom Karnes and wife Janet; two great nephews, Scott Hall and J.T. Karnes and wife Laurel; one great niece, Andi K. McDaniel and husband Jason; four great-great nieces and three great-great nephews, all of Gap Mills, WV; A very special friend, Donnie Evans and other family and friends.
A celebration of Sonny's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Monroe County Courthouse Gazebo in Union, WV with Rev. Gene Fullen officiating.
