PRINCETON, WV --- Vera Frances Long, age 73, of Princeton, WV, formerly of Union, WV, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born August 26, 1948 at Nitro, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lester A. and Georgia Fields Weikle. Vera was a 1966 graduate of Union High School. She retired from the Bank of Monroe in Union after 44 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, working puzzles, and reading. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. Her faith was very important to her. While she lived in Union, she attended the Union Church of God.

Survivors include one son, Danny "D.J." Dunbar and wife Autumn of Peterstown, WV; one daughter, Melodie Spence and husband Danny of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Marjorie Pence and husband Gary of Greenville, WV; six grandchildren, Zachariah, Trey, Brennen, Danni Beth, Ireland, and Rogan.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with brother-in-law, Larry Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Union, WV. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 12:00 noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
