SECOND CREEK, WV --- Timothy Lane Trent, age 51, of Second Creek, WV, formerly of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2021 at his parents' home at Second Creek, WV. Tim was born on May 7, 1969 to Donald and Sharon Trent at Dr. Guy's Clinic in Union, WV. Tim was very talented and played many musical instruments. He had attended Bruffey Memorial Methodist Church, Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, and most recently Salvation Army Church in North Carolina. He was formerly employed at A.E.T. in Covington, VA and most recently at Parker Hannifin Corporation in North Carolina as a machinist.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Scott Trent, maternal grandparents, Paul and Flora Nichols; paternal grandparents, Jasper and Harriett Trent; and father-in-law, Tom Martin. Survivors include his parents, Don and Sharon Trent of Second Creek, WV; stepson and daughter-in-law, James and Natasha Herald of Midlothian, VA; stepson, Trevor Herald (Amanda) of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren, Julia and Owen Herald of Midlothian, VA; Tim's beloved and faithful companion, his Rabbit Beagle, Dixie; estranged wife, Kimberly Trent of Thomasville, NC; mother-in-law, Carol Martin; brothers and sisters in law, Tommy Martin, Tracey Martin, Cassie Martin, Stephen Ferguson, and Larry Hoback. Besides his parents, Tim will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A special thank you to cousins, John and Debbie Trent for the long hours of encouragement they tried to give him over the last few months.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastors, Lowell O'Dell, Freddie Bostic, Phillip Hunt, and Nathan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. The Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
