ZENITH, WV – Sarah Lee Dalton Neel, age 82, of Zenith, WV, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at her home. Born September 9, 1940 at Radford, VA, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Lake F. Janey Dalton. Sarah grew up in Giles County, VA and graduated from Pearisburg High School. She went to work as an operator for the Celanese Plant in Narrows, VA with 22 ½ years' service. Sarah enjoyed life. She loved to travel, and she especially enjoyed seeing the beautiful sites of Hawaii. Doing yard work and having an immaculate lawn and landscape was very important to Sarah. She loved her family dearly, and she especially cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She also loved her church family and was a member of the Crimson Springs Church in Zenith, WV for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 33 years, Carl Neel; and several brothers and sisters also preceded her. Survivors include, one son, Arven Lee Neely and wife Valerie of Zenith, WV; one daughter, Teresa Lucas and husband Dwight of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren, Lorrie "Chrissy" Wilburn of Pulaski, VA, Chyanne Neely of Christiansburg, VA, Jessica Neely of Hinton, WV, and Chris Lucas of Woodstock, GA; great grandchildren, Aryan and Harley Wilburn, Dezeria Neely, Alexander Palmer, and Colt Neely; great-great grandchildren, Arabella and Ryker Pennington; special nephew, John Stanley and wife Kathy of Eggleston, VA; and several other family members all whom she loved and cared deeply for.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Crimson Springs Church in Zenith, WV with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery across from the church in Zenith, WV. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV.
