SINKS GROVE, WV ---

Russell " Rusty " Arnold Hedrick, age 6 8 , of Sinks Grove, W est V irginia , passed away Friday , November 4 , 20 22 at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg , W est V irginia , following a sudden illness. Born August 19, 1954 in Ronceverte, West Virginia , he was the son of the late Harry and Bernice Hedrick of Sinks Grove, West Virginia.

Rusty was a loving and devoted husband to the late Donna Frances Hedrick of Sinks Grove, West Virginia, father to his three daughters, and p apa to all of his grand children , of whom he loved very much. Rusty , along with the late Sonny Massie w ere owner s of the Original Greenbrier Builders for over 45 years. Rusty spent his entire adult life as a building contractor, plumber and electrician who impacted many lives through his work. Rusty spent his life raising, breeding and selling cattle , as well as hunting and horseback riding and enjoyed sharing those experiences with his daughters and grandchildren. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Sinks Grove, West Virginia, as well as a member of the Gideon International and a lifetime member/supporter of the National Rifle Association (NRA) .

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Donna Frances Hedrick. Survivors include his three daughters; Julie Ann Garst and significant other Cody Davis of Leland , North Carolina, Audrey Suzanne Sampson and husband Greg of Alderson, West Virginia, and Shannon Frances Vance of Ronceverte, West Virginia; one brother, Dale Hedrick of Sinks Grove, West Virginia, two sisters; Eunice Aliff and husband Thomas of North East , Maryland, and Louise Harrington and husband Charles of Elkton, Maryland; and six grandchildren, Lucas, Emma, Sadie, Lane, Wyatt and Eli.

Funeral services will be held at 2 :00 p.m. Saturday , November 12 , 20 22 at the Rhema Christian Center in Lewisburg, West Virginia with Pastor Stewart Farley officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Sinks Grove, West Virginia. Friends may call Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. noon until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Greg Sampson, Cody Davis, Denny Kowalski, John Lephew, John Highlander, and Jeremy Massie . In lieu of flowers, the Hedrick Family requests donations be made to the Rhema Christian Center in order to continue their ministerial work.
