UNION - Ruby Dixon Humphreys, 86, of Union, WV, passed away Monday morning, November 21, 2016 at Springfield Center in Lindside following a long illness.
She was born at Union, WV, April 14, 1930 a daughter of the late Fred Forest and Eula Compton Dixon.
Mrs. Humphreys was a retired employee of The Bank of Monroe having served as a teller and vice president and a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church at Union.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Hayes Humphreys, Sr. on June 28, 2009 and by a brother, Marvin G. Dixon, Sr. on February 1, 2013.
Surviving are 2 sons, Harry H. Humphreys, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Union, Fred M. Humphreys and his wife, Valerie of Covington, Va.; 2 grandchildren, Heather Humphreys and Daniel Humphreys; an aunt, Charlotte Craft of Union and nephews, Marvin Dixon, Jr. and wife, Terry; and Mike Dixon.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm. Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with the Rev. Mark Shafer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery at Union, WV.
Friends may call at the Groves Funeral Home in Union from 6 – 8 pm. Tuesday.
