UNION, WV --- Robin Dale Altizer Church, 64, of Union, passed away at her home Sunday, December 31, 2017.
She was born December 14, 1953 at Burlington, Iowa a daughter of the late Donald M. and Alta Mae Preston Altizer.
Surviving are her husband, Rodger Elliott Church;   3 children,   Shane (Lisa) Cannon, SC,   Adam (Amber) Cannon, Ga  and  Heather (Robert) Workheiser, IL;  2 stepchildren, Jeremy Church, Fl and Stephanie Holley. WV;  8 grandchildren.  Christopher, Journey, Ashton, Harmony, Lydia, Arion, Tessa, Sophie and 3 step grandchildren; Nathan,Kailey, Charlie: a brother, Ronald Altizer NV and 2 sisters, Terry (Nick) DiFronzo, FL and Capitola Altizer, IL.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sierra Sue and infant brother, Loyd Bradley "Brad".
Robin was a homemaker, a member of the Order of The Eastern Star at Luray, Va., she also attended the Mt. Prospect Baptist Church at Union. After High School graduation  Robin left Illinois (she always said she hated the flat lands) and lived in many different states her favorite being West Virginia, She loved the Mountains, hiking, camping, tubing and exploring caves.  She enjoyed art painting.  She attended adult education classes at the Monroe County Library learning CPR, Computer Education and other classes.
A celebration of Robin's life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union from 4 pm to 5pm.
