"Bob" Mullins

Robert Eugene "Bob" Mullins, age 75, of Greenville W.Va. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 20 th 2014 at his home, Born March 23 rd 1938 in Charleston W.Va. he was the son of the late James G. and Myrtle Mullins. Bob was a member of the United Steel Workers Union of America local 14614. After having worked as a heavy duty diesel mechanic with Vecellio & Grogan, he later was employed with Mead Westvaco, and sought retirement while employed with Bowman's Cattle Company.
Bob was an active member in his community not knowing a stranger. He was a faithful member of the Crimson Springs Church. Prior to retirement Bob volunteered time as a little league basketball coach, He also found great joy in trading and selling, and loved attending flea markets or auctions. After retirement Bob enjoyed the fellowship of his church, volunteering much of his time to church functions, when not occupied there he also enjoyed wood working, cookouts, family time and football.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, John Mullins.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty A. McGraw Mullins of Greenville; 2 sons, Michael E. Mullins and his wife, Rebecca of Greenville, and Jeffery A. Mullins and his wife, Tammy of Greenville; 1 daughter, Debbie G. Herold and her husband, Mike of War Ridge; 3 former daughter-in-laws, Donna G. Crook, Michele A. Mullins, and Marilyn Mullins; 11 grandchildren, Joshua M. Herold and wife Becky, Lexi M. Cook and husband, Kevin, Lucas M. Mullins, Abby E. Mullins, Miranda K. Mullins, Aliyah S. Mullins, Aaron Koontz and his wife, Ashley, Nina Crawford, Dakota T. Yates, L. Hunter Yates, and Morgan B. Gill; 6 great grandchildren, Cody and Bailey Herold, Braxton, Mason and Sydney Cook, and Brooklyn Mullins; 3 brothers, Bill Mullins of Bartow Fla., James Mullins of Hudson Fla., and Larry Mullins of Simpsonville S.C.; 1 sister, Patty Baria of Angier N.C.; 2 brother-in-laws, Bill McGraw and wife, Barbara, and Gary Wells and wife, Loretta; 2 sister-in-laws, Charlotte Meadows and husband, James and Helen McGraw.
Funeral Services will be held 2 pm. Sunday March 23 rd at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, with Pastor Jimmy Rogers and Reverend Hugh Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hedding Cemetery at Lillydale.
Friends may call at the Groves Funeral Home in Union 6-8 pm. Saturday March 22 nd where a visitation will be conducted to celebrate Bob's life.
Pallbearers will be, Mike Herold, Josh Herold, Lucas Mullins, Kevin Cook, Junior McMillon, and Zachery Elmore.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be directed to Trinity Camp Grounds Youth Camp, Rt. 1 Box 74, Greenville W.Va. 24945.Visits: 0
