UNION, WV – Raymond Odell Bostic, age 86, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Roanoke, VA. Born September 11, 1939, in Sinks Grove, WV, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Beulah Bostic Dunbar.

Odell worked for 14 years in production at Hercules. He was also a truck driver and excellent mechanic, as he enjoyed working on and fixing cars. He was a big WVU fan and loved living out in the country. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and working outside taking care of his home. He was a beloved husband and father who will be missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 65 years, Velma Wilson Bostic of the home; two devoted daughters, Kaye and Brenda Bostic, both of Roanoke, VA; brother-in-law, Wayne Wilson of Huntersville, NC; his special cat, Sunny, who was a great comfort to him; and several cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Fairview Cemetery in Keenan, WV. Those attending the services are asked to meet at the cemetery.
