Obituary

UNION, WV -- Our lights dimmed during the morning of June 6, when our angel, Phyllis G. Wickline, left this earth to go be with her Mommy. She started her days being told they were numbered because of the extra gifts that God gave her and passed those numbered days with flying colors by 79 years. God must have known we needed her. Aunt Phyllis spent her last days enjoying the sunshine at the Farmer's Day parade and spending it with her family. Full of life, she loved to be the center of attention and being spoiled by her Mackey, who always supplied her with endless sun (coffee) and ketchup. Her visitors knew the toll they had to pay to get an extra-large smile was the payment of "sixes" (dollar bills) to her roll which had to be thinned into her piggy bank every couple of days. The purse collection she amassed was one to rival the Queen of England, and her jewelry wasn't far behind. She was always dressed to the nines when she went to sing (church) to see the preacher man or went for a ride in her vroom (car). Her babies and mommies were her pride and joy, especially when they started multiplying to give her new "pretty babies" to love.

She is joining her Mommy (Lillian Pence Wickline Hill), Roy (Leroy Wickline), Bubby (Richard Wickline), her sister (Lois Jean), her daddy (Willie Wickline), and her stepfather (Dwight Hill). Missing her endlessly will be her sister, Mackey (Violet Maxine Bryant); her nieces and nephews, Michelle Dunbar (her selfless caregiver of 16 years), Allen and Kendra Wickline, Jeffrey and Barb Wickline, Mike Bryant, James Wickline, Susan and Wayne Weikle, Brian and Beth Wickline, Anita and Michael McClure; her great-nieces and nephews, Marisa Dunbar, Marly Dunbar, Holly Dunbar Faulkner, Brandon and Megan Wickline, Amanda and David Mosko, Patrick and Alix Wickline, Joshua and Anna Wickline, Heather and Todd Frank, Logan and Beth Wickline, Tori Wickline, Heath and Joe Bryant-Huppert, Dylan Wickline, Nicholas and Michelle Walker, Craig Walker, Justin Walker, Nikki and Heath Bennett, Jeremy and Jenny Weikle, Leann Weikle, Katie Wickline, Jason and Jessica McClure; great-great nieces and nephews, Dallas Deem, Nathaniel Dunbar, Leland Sims, Abel Sims, Nolan, Hayden, and Teagen Wickline; Nicholas, Lucas, and Eloise Mosko; Tobias and William Frank; Benjamin Walker; Hunter and Kaydence Walker; Nathaniel, Maddie and Jayden Walker; Griffin and Brody Weikle; Garrett and Gavin Bennett; Murphy Wickline; and, Alyssa and Nathan McClure.

She was lovingly cared for by her baby, Michelle Dunbar; her one, Kathy McMahan; and, her win, Cher Chappell.

On her last morning, she enjoyed a breakfast of apple sauce and sun (coffee) – the same breakfast her Mommy had on the morning of her passing. We wish her nothing short of a peaceful rest with her Mommy, Bubby, Roy, and Lois Jean; and hope that she was able to finally give that crazy lady that stole her sixes (money) a piece of her mind.
