GAP MILLS, WV --- Peggy Joyce Hornbuckle, age 86 of Moncove Lake, WV passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. Born October 8, 1936 in Twin Branch, McDowell County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Bradley and Kate Barber Bradley. Peggy was a former employee of the G.C. Murphy Company and a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and loved tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed watching the birds and watching her favorite religious shows on television.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Bradley; granddaughter, Crystal Bradley; grandson, Jonathan Michael Hornbuckle; great-granddaughter, Madison Regina Tessner; sister, Betty Brash; brothers, James "Huss" Bradley and Charles Bradley who lost his life defending his Country in the Korean War.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving and devoted husband, Thomas Hornbuckle of the home; three sons, Charles "Chuck" Bradley of Union, WV, Michael Hornbuckle of the home, and John Hornbuckle and wife Crystal of Brier Creek, WV; grandson, Michael Luke Hornbuckle, Jr. of the home whom Peggy considered her son. Several additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Alice Smith of Big Sandy, WV and Carol "Sue" French of Princeton, WV.

Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a celebration of life for Peggy Joyce Hornbuckle on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gap Mills United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Baer officiating.
