GAP MILLS, WV --- Peggy Marie Helms, age 58, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV. Born October 11, 1962 in Summers County, WV, she was the daughter of Janice Gill of Greenville, WV and the late Nathan Gill. Peggy currently worked at Collins Aerospace at Pickaway, WV and was a member of the Mt. Prospect Baptist Church at Gap Mills, WV. Peggy always enjoyed life. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her family. She never met a stranger would make new friends wherever she would go. She loved the Lord, and she loved her church family as well.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joe Gill, and her grandparents, Herb and Hazel Richmond. In addition to her mother, survivors include, her loving husband of 39 years, William Helms of Gap Mills, WV; one daughter, Debra Comer and husband Brandon of Weikle, WV; one son, Thomas Helms and fiancé, Krista of Raleigh, WV; one brother, Roy Gill and wife Billie Jean of Greenville, WV; grandchildren, Lily and Lelan Comer of Weikle, WV, and Leeah and Meya Helms of Peterstown, WV; and a special niece, Ginny Dunbar of Roanoke, VA.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Todd Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Crosier Cemetery at Zenith, WV. The family will receive friends Monday, September 13, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until time of the service. Mike Petit, Chris Thompson, Adam Jameson, Jeff Clarkson, Kevin Thomason, and Wormy Page will serve as Pallbearers. The family suggests memorial contributions in honor of Peggy be made to the Mt. Prospect Baptist Church or to The Groves-Mann Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs.
