GAP MILLS, WV --- Paul Leslie Oliver, age 67, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. Born December 16, 1953 in Elkton, MD, he was the son of the late Vaughn and Marjorie Neel Oliver. Paul graduated from North East High School in North East Maryland and went on to pursue a career in nursing. He had worked as a nurse at Liberty Enterprise at Clifton Forge, VA. Paul served several years on the Monroe County Board of Education. He was also an "Eagle Scout" in the Boy Scouts of America. Paul loved the Lord, and he attended the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV. He also loved to play, sing, and write gospel music. He was a member of the Homeward Bound Gospel Music Band, and one of his songs titled, "Power Position", was published in the Southern Gospel Singing News Magazine. Paul enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he was very proud of.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 37 years, Lisa Clarkson Oliver of Gap Mills, WV; two sons, Jeremy Oliver and wife Kristine of Moncove Lake, and Travis Oliver of Charleston, WV; two brothers, James Oliver of New Jersey, and Allan Oliver of Zenith, WV; one sister, Nancy Struckman and husband Steve of Moncove Lake; grandchildren, Jeremy Oliver, Justin Oliver, Josh Oliver, Jackson Oliver, Ryan Cox, Cameron Glover, Liam Huffman, Shanna Stone, Sky Stone, and Kimber Oliver; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Crosier Cemetery at Zenith, WV with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Those planning on attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:00 p.m. Due to the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending the service are recommended to social distance and wear a mask.
