Peters Mountain, Zenith, WV – Oren Franklin O’Neill, 90 years young, left this world on Thursday, September 17, 2026, to meet his family in Heaven. Born August 21, 1936, at Hillsdale, WV, he was the son of William Franklin and Hattie Gay Beamer O’Neill. Our Uncle Oren was a true mountain man, logger, and farmer. He loved his garden and loved riding his Jeep on Peters Mountain.

Those left to cherish his life and memories are his sister, Dorothy Cole; and so many nieces, nephews, friends, and family. Our Unc played a big part in helping raise all his nieces and nephews, from the oldest to the youngest.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Peterstown, WV, with the family officiating. Burial will follow at the Wickline Cemetery in Zenith, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Sunday at the funeral home.

David Jr. Cole, David Copeland, James Raines, Michael O’Neill, Wayne Sparks, Byron Cole, Ramey Kanode, and Bill Jr. Capaldo will serve as pallbearers.
