GAP MILLS, WV --- Odessa Josephine "Granny Jo" Wickline, age 83, of Gap Mills, WV passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Peyton Hospice House at Fairlea, WV following a short illness. Born September 13, 1931 at Nova Scotia, Canada she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Bushin Tumblin. Granny Jo was a waitress at the Korner Kafe Restaurant in Union.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ellery William Wickline, Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Lemons and husband Gary of Pickaway, WV and Linda Miller and husband Paul of Branchland, WV; seven grandchildren, Michelle Miller, Tina Johnson and companion T.J. Williams, Tony Johnson and wife Jessica, Laura Blake and husband Jeremiah, Jason Beckett and wife Sarah, and Sarah Clary and husband Chris; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In keeping with Granny Jo's wishes her body will be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 24 2015 at the Union Church of God Youth Center on Bud Ridge Road. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to the Union Rescue Squad P.O. Box 78 Union, WV 24983.
