HOLLYWOOD, WV --- Norma Jean Helvey, 72, of Hollywood, passed away Tuesday, January 24th, 2023 in her home. Norma Jean was born August 29th, 1950 one of six, to the late Virgil and Lorene Helvey.  She is also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Ronnie Helvey and Pattie, her sister Carolyn Trainer, and her brother Tom Helvey.

Norma, or Jean by some, was a great, Christian lady who loved the Lord, and as a life-long member of Bruffey Memorial United Methodist Church of Hollywood, WV enjoyed singing and working in the church. Norma Jean worked over 30 plus years at the former Goodrich plant in Union, WV. Norma had a great love for her family, and they were very special to her.  She leaves behind sisters Rosemary Halcomb (Randy) of Chesapeake, Kathy Helvey of Hollywood, brother-in-law Frank Trainer of Neola, 6 nieces and nephews: Lee Helvey (Heather), Melodie Wykle, Randall Halcomb (Sapna), Christinia Goins (Junior), Anthony Helvey, and Holly Halcomb, 13 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with Freddie Bostic and Anita Tracey officiating. Burial will follow in the Hollywood Cemetery at Hollywood, WV. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
