SECOND CREEK, WV---Nellie Ethel Ridgeway Boggs, age 85 of Second Creek, WV passed Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Greenbrier Manor in Fairlea, WV. Born October 15, 1928 at Hollywood, WV she was the daughter of the late John William and Mamie Ethel VanStavern Ridgeway. Mrs. Boggs was a loving and caring homemaker and she was a member of the Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church at Second Creek, WV.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harding William Boggs; one son, Jimmy Lee Boggs; two brothers, Clark Ridgeway and Ed Ridgeway.
Survivors include three sons, William H. Boggs and wife Beverly of Second Creek, Gary Boggs and wife Mary of Second Creek, and Bobby Boggs and wife Debi of Second Creek; three daughters, Patricia Ward and husband Raymond of Second Creek, Linda Reynolds and husband David of Lewisburg, WV, and Brenda McClung of Lewisburg, WV; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Don Trent and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
