SINKS GROVE, WV --- Miner Lee "Bud" King, age 76, of Sinks Grove, WV, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV. Born August 12, 1942 at Flat Mountain, he was the son of the late William Harmon "Bill" and Irene Motteshread King. Bud was a self-employed stone mason and carpenter. Building was his passion. He was also a talented musician and could play banjo, guitar, and harmonica. When Bud wasn't working or playing music, he loved being in the great outdoors and he enjoyed all that nature had to offer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Shirley Faye Rader King; brothers and sisters, William Howard King, Alene King Lewis, Effie Winebrimmer, Shirley Saunders, Pauline Wilson, Billy Mack King, and Paul King. Survivors include  , one daughter, Lorena Faye Judy and husband John of Williamsburg, WV; one son, Luther James King of Union, WV; grandchildren, Joseph Atkins of Union, WV, Justin Atkins and girlfriend Brandy of Sinks Grove, WV, Jason King and girlfriend Haley of Union, WV, Breanna Faye Kessel and husband Josh of San Diego, CA, Kayla Renee Nunlist and husband Joe of Oldenburg Indiana, Nathaniel King of Union, WV, and Gracie King of Union, WV; step-grandchildren, Channing Judy and Devin Judy; great-grandchildren, Xander Lee King, Natilee Faye Kessel, Madilyn Rae Nunlist, and Owen Scott Kessel; sister, Margaret Hoke of Connersville, IN; brothers, Leroy King of Alderson, WV, Robert King of Ronceverte, WV, Henry King and wife Lisa, Steve King, and Gene King all of Boaz AL.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Fred Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery at Hollywood, WV. Friends may call Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 12:00 noon until time of services at the funeral home.
