UNION, WV --- Millicent M. Kountz, age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Greenbrier Manor in Fairlea, WV following a long illness. Born March 1, 1933 at Sarton, WV she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel Morgan Weikle. She was a former employee at Rubber Fabricators and Hanover Shoe Company. Mrs. Kountz was also a loving and caring homemaker and enjoyed making quilts as well. She was a member of the Mt. Herman Baptist Church at Sarton, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Kountz; two brothers, Paul Harmon and John Weikle, Jr.; two sisters, Susan Crawford and Nellie Kountz. Survivors include, four sisters, Geraldine Pence of Sarton, WV, Diane Huggins of Kenna, WV, Mary Ralston and husband Bob of Ronceverte, WV, and Violet Allen of Union, WV; three brothers, Donald Weikle of Flat Mountain, WV, Ralph Weikle and wife Wilma of Alderson, WV, and Basil Weikle and wife Bobbie of Talcott, WV; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Mt. Herman Baptist Church at Sarton, WV, with Rev. Bob Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery at Sarton. Friends may call Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the Church.
