UNION, WV--- Mildred Evilee Bostic, age 76, of Union, WV passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Carilion Giles Community Hospital, Pearisburg, VA following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born September 20, 1939 at Hollywood, WV, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Fury Hoke. Mildred was a loving and caring homemaker. She also worked with the Monroe County Council on Aging. She was a founding member of the Meeting Place at Hollywood and she attended the New Hope Tabernacle. Mildred often enjoyed muzzleloader shooting matches and hunting with her muzzleloader. She also enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Lewis, Vernon, and Buddy J. Hoke.
Survivors include, her husband of 49 years, Stephen Bostic of Union, WV; two sons, Arthur Bostic of Princeton, WV and Stephen Henry Bostic II of Hollywood, WV; three sisters, Edith Smith of Chesapeake, VA, Bonnie Arch Letta and husband Phillip of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Marietta Woods of Waiteville, WV; four grandchildren, Joshua, Caleb, Madison, and Arianna Bostic; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm. Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Meeting Place at Hollywood, WV with Rev. Phillip Hunt and Freddy Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Hollywood Cemetery at Hollywood, WV. Friends may call Friday, November 27, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the Meeting Place in Hollywood.
