WAITEVILLE, WV – Mikell Ellison, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home in Waiteville. Born March 15, 1945, in Montgomery, AL, she was the daughter of the late Vivien Huntley and Seth Mull.

Mikell, lovingly known as Q-Tip in the Waiteville community, was the General Manager of the Depot Lodge in Paint Bank, where she retired after working there for 20 years. She had previously worked as a Radio Advertising Representative and Real Estate Agent in NC. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and gardening. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend who will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Mark Ellison; and daughter, Jill Stephens. Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Staff Sergeant Mark Anthony Ellison of Offutt AFB, NE; two grandchildren, Sara Stephens and Amanda Stephens; two great grandchildren, Caleb Gibson and Zoey Shimp; two brothers-in-law, James and William Ellison; two step grandchildren, William Junior Ellison and Noah Ellison; and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the Ellison Family Cemetery near Mikell's home in Waiteville, WV. A reception will follow the service at the Waiteville Community Center, 1735 Ray Siding Road, Waiteville, WV 24984.
