UNION, WV – Michael Anthony Sanders, 73, of Union, WV, died suddenly on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Michael was born on September 5, 1951, to LaVonne Jensen, Aage Jensen, and Bill Sanders in Hominy, OK.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Jensen.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, LaVonne; his wife of 39 years, Kathy Allen Sanders; his children, Andrew Sanders, Grant Sanders, and Sara Hill (Aaron); his grandchildren, Grace and Oliver Hill; brother, Stephen Sanders (Kaye); and sister, Kristina Jensen (Curt) of Boulder, CO. Other survivors include Jessica and Jacob Sanders of Bartlesville, OK.

A visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Union Church of God with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV, with Andrew and Grant Sanders, Jamie Allen, Chris Gill, Robbie Dunbar, and Aaron Hill serving as pallbearers.
