UNION, WV – Mary Ruth Jackson Weikle, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. Born January 25, 1939, in Rock Camp, WV, she was the daughter of the late John William and Vada Burton Jackson.

Ruth was a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Treasurer. She enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved mowing and working in her flower beds. She was the site manager at the Senior Center in Union and was an excellent seamstress. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58+ years, Mayo Lee Weikle on March 17, 2018; two brothers, Carl Jackson and Harry Jackson; and two daughters-in-law, Marlene Weikle and Teresa Weikle.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Weikle and fiancé Tammy Pence, and Bobby Weikle and wife Cindy, all of Union, WV; one brother, Harold Jackson and wife Shirley of Lindside, WV; grandchildren, Matthew Weikle and wife Jessica of Marlton, NJ, Josh Weikle and wife Nikki of Union, WV, Brandy Lester and husband Lloyd of Union, WV, Deric Bowers and wife Tisha, Jennifer Bowers-Williams and husband Matt, and Theresa Clemons; great grandchildren, Kaydence, Sienna, Jaxson, Owen, Kinley, Lydia, Ethan, Eli, Ella, Jacob, and one on the way; sister-in-law, Letsie Walton of Covington, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastors Mark Shafer and Nathan Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery in Sarton, WV. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 4:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
