SECOND CREEK, WV --- Mary Marshall Lucas Boggs, age 95, of Second Creek, WV, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Greenbrier Health Care Center at Lewisburg, WV. Born July 11, 1924 at Second Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Goldie Hoke Lucas. Mary was a homemaker and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed making quilts and was also a great cook. Mary loved to sing, and she attended Church at the Hillsdale Holiness Church and the Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil A. Boggs; one daughter, Betty Carol Elmore; three sisters, Nellie Myers, Martha Deskins, and Vernie Preston; and four brothers, Jimmy, Jack, Arthur, and Harry Lucas. Survivors include, three sons, Jerry Boggs and wife Glenda of Sinks Grove, WV, Ricky Boggs and wife Diana of Union, WV, and Timothy Boggs and wife Valerie of Sinks Grove, WV; two daughters, Bonnie Elmore and husband Dale of Sinks Grove, WV, and Judy Toothman and husband Rickey of Ronceverte, WV; two brothers, Charlie Lucas and wife June of Ronceverte, WV, and Johnny Lucas and wife Tammy of Ronceverte, WV; three sisters, Nancy Erskine of Elkins, WV, Dorothy Williams of Organ Cave, WV, and Phyllis Elmore of Union, WV; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19,2020 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel, Union, WV with Pastors Don Trent and David Deskins officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery at Highland Park (Second Creek, WV) Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
