LINDSIDE, WV --- Mary Jane Allen Collins, age 82, of Lindside, WV, formerly of Greenville, WV, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Springfield Center, Lindside, WV. Born May 19, 1936 at Union, WV she was raised by her grandparents, Irie and Molly Allen. Mrs. Collins was a caregiver all her life. She had worked in several nursing homes around and always tried to help people. She lived at the Springfield Center in Lindside for the past several years where she had made many friends that brought her so much joy. She loved having fun and having a good time. Dancing brought enjoyment to her as well. Mrs. Collins was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Collins and a daughter, Gayle Blankenship. Survivors include, two daughters, Vicki Dunbar of Union, WV and Carol Collins of Fairlea, WV; six grandchildren, Troy Collins of Florida, Jamie Collins of Ronceverte, WV, Tina Crawford of Union, WV, Josh Dunbar of Greenville, WV, Molly Blankenship of Bedford, VA, and Timmy "TJ" Blankenship of Elkins, WV; several great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV.
