Hollywood - Marvin Alston Snedegar, Sr., 62 of Hollywood, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, July 6, 2015 at his home following a long illness.
He was born at Lewisburg, West Virginia, June 3, 1953 a son of the late Rev. Roy and Helen Blankenship Snedegar.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Delcie Gullian and Mattie Hensley.
Marvin was the owner and operator of Mountaineer Guns in White Sulphur Springs for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Alydia Coleman Snedegar of Hollywood; 3 sons, Marvin Snedegar, Jr. and Roy Keith Snedegar of Salem, Va. and Jason Roy Snedegar of Hollywood; a brother, Darius Snedegar of Lewisburg and a sister, Eva Bryant of Caldwell; 3 granddaughters, Taylor, Kristen, and Shanna Snedegar of Salem, Va. and a grandson, Kevin Snedegar of Salem, Va. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside Rites will be held 10:00 am., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway with the Rev. Richard "Buck" Caldwell officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Groves Funeral at P. O. Box 436 Union, WV 24983.
