GAP MILLS, WV --- Marvin Willard Hylton, age 93, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital at Low Moor, VA. Born at Dorr, WV, he was the son of the late D.K. and Clarice Whitlock Hylton. Marvin was a lifelong farmer and timber man. He enjoyed doing woodwork in his shop. He loved his family dearly, especially his children and grandchildren. Marvin was a member of the Bruffey Memorial United Methodist Church at Hollywood, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Sue Bland Hylton; four brothers, Kenneth, Eugene, Cecil, and Doris Ray "Boots" Hylton; one sister, Gladys Hylton. Survivors include one son, Marvin W. Hylton, Jr. of Gap Mills, WV; one daughter, Sherry Hylton of Gap Mills, WV; two brothers, Clyde Ellis "Bill" Hylton and wife Mary Evelyn of Hollywood, WV, and Dennis Hylton and wife Donna of Hollywood, WV; two sisters, Gracie Hylton of Hollywood, WV, and Faye Skripak of Vero Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Alicia Langevin and husband Jonathan of Elkins, WV and their children, Matthew and William; and Sam Hylton of Maddison Heights, VA and her children, Deidre, Kyle, Jacob, Maggie, and Ozzy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Fairview Cemetery in Keenan, WV with Pastor Don Trent officiating. The Family will receive friends Monday, February 8, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV. Larry Echols, Andrew Echols, Andy Tomlinson, Daryl Cox, Jonathan Langevin, and Marshall Glover will serve as Pallbearers. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, those planning on attending the services are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
