Obituary

CLIFTON FORGE, VA.--- Marvin Leon Humphreys, age 80, of 800 W Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Va. passed away Thursday morning, December 17, 2015 at his home following a long illness.
Born at Zenith, WV February 15, 1935 he was the son of the late Lily Humphreys. Mr. Humphreys was a retired custodian at the Andrew S. Rowan Memorial Home, with over 22 years service and he was a member of the Sweet Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Daisy Adams, Hazel Terry, Stella Glover and 3 nephews.
Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Barbara LouAnn Thomas Humphreys of Clifton Forge, Va.; nieces and nephews, Gary Adams and wife, Peggy, Paul Adams, Shelby Adams, Dreama Brown and companion, Dale South, Norma Tincher and husband, Buddy, Donna Kirk, Connie Dickson and husband, Steve, Loretta Radford and husband, Wayne, Barbie Blaser and husband, Roger; several great nieces and nephews; special family friends, Crystal Fridley and husband Scottie, Trevor and S. J. Fridley; Mountain Regional Hospice and Americare Plus.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with Rev. Bob Ratliff and Rev. John Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery at Waiteville. Friends may call Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 12 noon until service time at the Groves Funeral Home in Union.
