ZENITH, WV --- Marjorie Bell "Margie" Oliver, 83, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa following a short illness.
She was born at Zenith, WV on October 7, 1932 the daughter of the late Cecil McKinley and Ella Crosier Neel.
Mrs. Oliver was a homemaker and had served as a nursing aide at Kirk Army Hospital in Aberdeen, MD, and a volunteer at Greenbrier Valley Hospital at Fairlea. Margie and Vaughan were foster parents for several years. She was a member of the Valley Baptist Church at Zenith and she attended the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Vaughan Harrison Oliver; a sister, Thelma Raines; a brother, Carl L. Neel and a special cousin, Earl Falls.
Surviving are 4 children, Paul Oliver and wife, Lisa of Zenith; Nancy Struckman and husband, Steve of Lisbon, Iowa; Jimmy Oliver of Williamstown, NJ and Alan Oliver of Zenith; 2 foster children, George Jackson in Fla. and Anna Gallager in NC; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy and Travis Oliver, Eric Struckman and wife, Joni, Adam Struckman and wife, Chantana, Mary and Sam Oliver, April Wickwire and husband, Eric and Crystal Oliver; 14 great grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Josh and Jackson Oliver, Haley, Luke, Addison, Lauren, Jordan, Noah and Wesly Struckman, Sophie and Preston Wickwire and Cameron Oliver; a sister, Anges Flack of Greenville.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, with Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosier Cemetery at Zenith. Friends may call Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves Funeral Home in Union, WV, and one hour prior to the funeral services on Thursday at the Church.
