WAITEVILLE, WV – Marieta Hoke Woods, 75, of Waiteville, WV, was born on June 6, 1948, and died on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Marieta was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Margaret Hoke of Hollywood, WV; husband, Dennis Woods of Waiteville, WV; son, Patrick Woods of Radford, VA; brothers, Louis Hoke of Union, WV, Vernon Hoke of Waynesboro, VA, and Buddy Hoke of Sweet Springs, WV; and sisters, Mildred Bostic of Union, WV, and Bonnie (Philip) Archuleta of Colorado Springs, CO.

Marieta is survived by a son, Stuart Woods of Radford, VA; sister, Margaret Edith Smith of Chesapeake, VA; sisters-in-law, Mary Lee Hoke of Waynesboro, VA, and Mary Jane Hoke of Sweet Springs, WV; and brother-in-law, Steve Bostic of Union, WV.

In keeping with Marieta's wishes, she will be cremated. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Waiteville Community Cemetery in Waiteville, WV, with Pastor Clifford Kuhn officiating.
