Marian Frances
Collins
February 17, 1933 – September 18, 2025
Marian Frances Collins, a devoted servant of God, loving matriarch and steadfast pillar of her church and community, entered eternal rest on September 18, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born on February 17, 1933, in Hillsdale, West Virginia to the late Frank and Hattie Beamer O'Neill. Marian's life was a testament to unwavering faith, boundless love, and a deep commitment to those around her. She lived by the power of prayer, led with grace, and stood with courage – a true prayer warrior who interceded not only for her family, but for all who came to her in need.
Marian was a devoted member of the Union Church of God for over 30 years where she faithfully served and was a member of the choir. Her passion for ministry reached beyond the church, touching her community with kindness, comforting meals, and her beloved homemade Coconut and German Chocolate cakes.
Her home was a sanctuary, not just for her children and grandchildren, but for anyone who needed guidance, comfort, or a simple place to rest. Marian had a heart big enough for all, and her wisdom shaped generations.
Marian is preceded in death by her beloved husband Wilbur Allen Collins; her son, William Charles Collins; her siblings, Hattie Brisker, Ginny Smith, John William O'Neill, Anna Cole, Louise Sparks, Willa Gray Kanode, Mary Marshall O'Neill; her nephew, Billy Paschall and daughter-in-law, Cheri Collins.
She is survived by her children, Gerald (Nanette) Collins, Wesley (Tina) Collins, Sidney (Shelly) Collins, Candace (Curtis) Lucas; grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Collins, Christopher (Bobbi) Collins, Sharon (Richard) Soika, Elizabeth (Clint) Paxson, Jared Collins, Kaitlynn (Kevin) Toczik, Dennis (Olivia) Collins, Justin Lucas, Cory Collins; great grandchildren, Liam, Evan, Sydney, Casey, Clayton, Christopher Robert, Richard John, Reid, Ardynn, Lukah, Ezrah, Peyton, Gannon, Hudson, Taylor, Colton, Ivy Rose, Koda, Hannah and Jazzlyn. Also surviving are her siblings, Oren O'Neill, and Dorothy Cole.
Her life was a living gospel – one of sacrifice, resilience, and joy. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing Marian heard the words "Well done, good and faithful servant." Her legacy will forever live in the prayers we speak, the faith we hold, and the love we share.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.
