UNION, WV --- Margaret Evaline Clark, age 90, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House at Ronceverte, WV. Born May 5, 1928 in Union, WV she was the daughter of the late Samuel Morgan Clark, Sr. and Constance Johnson Clark. Margaret was a graduate of Union High School. Following high school, she earned her degree in education at Marshall University and started her teaching career in Rainelle, WV. She taught most of her career at Gap Mills and Union, WV until her retirement in 1987. Margaret was always involved in her community. She was a member of the Union Chapter of the Eastern Star #122. She was a member of the Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She helped knit toboggans for children with the "Warming of America" group. She was also a member of the Union United Methodist Church in Union, WV. Margaret was a caring and friendly person. She loved her friends and family, knitting with her Senior Citizens Group, reading and doing crossword puzzles, and she absolutely loved her chocolates and sweets.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Morgan Clark, Jr. and her first cousin, Mike Clark. Survivors include, her cousins Jewel Clark of Union, WV and Pat Clark of Union, WV; life-long caretaker, Leslie Hawks of Union, WV; the entire McDowell-Highlander Family, and several other cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastors Gene Fullen and Kelly Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Union, WV. The Union Chapter of the Eastern Star #122 will conduct memorial services at the beginning of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until service time. Jeff Walker, Dirk McCormick, Frankie Highlander, Bo Parker, Larry Hawks, and Craig Mohler will serve as Pallbearers.
