GAP MILLS, WV— Margaret Lee Bland, 93, of Gap Mills, WV left her earthly home for her heavenly home September 29th, 2018 following a short illness.

Margaret was a member of Pine Grove Methodist Church in Gap Mills and was a devoted piano player for her church the biggest part of her life.  She was employeed by Gap Mills School for 33 years.

She was a homemaker, Mother, Grandmother,  and friend. She loved gardening and was known for her beautiful flowers . She was also very talented at sewing and making crafts.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Porterfield, her husband Paul Bland, and a daughter, Marian Bland.

Surviving are a son, Gerald Bland of Gap Mills, WV. and daughter, Brenda Feury of Kill Devil Hills, NC. Three Granddaughters, Kayla Bland and wife Tracey of Union, WV.,  Angela Justice of Potts Creek, VA., and Stephanie Hardiman and husband, Danny of White Sulphur Springs, WV. And her beloved dog, Holly.

Margaret also had seven great grandchildren, and six great - great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV with Rev. Marva Smearman and Rob Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery, Gap Mills, WV. Friends may call Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 12:00 noon until time of services.
