GAP MILLS, WV --- Margaret Alice "Peggy" Harris, age 80, went to meet her Heavenly Father and love-of-her life, Ernest W. Harris on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Greenbrier Health Care Center at Ronceverte, WV. Born March 9, 1938 in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Alice King. Mrs. Harris was very active in her community until her health began to fail. She was a member of the Gap Mills Carmel Presbyterian Church at Gap Mills, the Gap Mills Community Center, Union Lions Club "for over 32 years", Gap Mills Ruritan, and assisted 4-H Clubs. She was active in caring for Violet Harris, her husband Ernie and anyone in need.
She joins her husband Ernie Harris and daughter Alice Harris, (parents) Frank and Alice King, Violet Harris, (sister) Lenora (King) Few, Daniel Few, Pauline Harris, Lena Grace Harris, and Robin Lynn Harris.
She will be missed by her two sons and family members: Franklin Harris and Cathy and Caitlin (granddaughter) of Nashville, TN; Michael Harris and Vicki of Choctaw, OK; Rachel and Robert Tansill, (daughter) Emily and Jamie Rutherford, (family) Matthew Fowler, Crystal Carter, (son) Mason; Sara Fowler, Joe Heminway and Samantha Rutherford of Charles Town, WV; David and Cathy Harris (sons and family) David and Jason of Gastonia, NC; Jane Ford (sons) John and Lewis Ford and family of Fincastle, VA; Anna Baxter of Lewisburg, WV and Candace Baxter and family of Roanoke, VA; Rodney Harris, Jr. of Lewisburg, WV and family; Darren and Krista Few and daughter Kia of Alexandria, VA. The Family would like to send their many thanks to the loving caregivers that helped and assisted in caring for Mrs. Harris in her time of need.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV with William Beiler officiating. Friends may call Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV.
