Obituary

SALT SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV --- Major Morgan Walker, 85, of Salt Sulphur Springs, WV passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.
He was born in Scary, West Virginia, February 1, 1932 a son of the late Fred and Helen L. Harris Walker.
He was a retired Postmaster, a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, a member of the Masons and the Beni Kedem Temple at Charleston, and the Union United Methodist Church at Union.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
Surviving is his wife of 29 years, Shirley Mossor Walker of Salt Sulphur Springs, a daughter, Susan Duryea and husband, Rick of Clinton, Conn., a son Jay Walker of Hurricane, 2 step sons, David Mossor of Harrisville, and Charles Mossor of Sykesville, MD., a step daughter, Michelle Beasley of Salt Sulphur Springs; 3 brothers, Bob Walker and wife, Ellen, Rick Walker, Dan Walker and wife, Jackie all of Scary, WV. Four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held 11 am. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with Pastor Gene Fullen and Rev. Frank Naglic officiating. Burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery at Union.
