SINKS GROVE, WV --- Lucindy F. Baxter, 90 of Sinks Grove and Talcott, WV passed away Monday morning, December 4, 2017 at the Brier Nursing Home in Fairlea following a long illness.
She was born at Second Creek, WV, April 10, 1927 a daughter of the late James Harvey and Gladys Faye Dunbar Deskins.
Mrs. Baxter was a retired sewing inspector of the Norwalk Furniture Company in Norwalk, Ohio, a member of the West Heartland United Methodist Church and she attended the Mt. Prospect Baptist Church in Union, she was also a member of the Car Coddlers of Ohio.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Baxter; 4 brothers, James Ray Deskins, Walter M. Deskins, Bernie Deskins and George Deskins; 1 sister, Violet Deskins.
Surviving is a step-daughter, Nancy Hall of Portsmouth, Ohio; brother, Russell Deskins and wife, Barbara of Sinks Grove, a sister, Margery Pence of Sinks Grove. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with Pastor Todd Baker and Pastor David Deskins officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV.
