ALDERSON, WV --- Loretta Mae Alderson, age 83 of Alderson, WV passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, WV following a short illness. Born August 13, 1934 she was the daughter of the late William N. and Bina Webb Dalton. Mrs. Alderson was a loving wife and mother having cared for her daughter for over 50 years. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church at Highland Park. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband William R. Alderson; five brothers, Nealy, Posie, John, Franklin, and Simon; Four sisters, Goldie Elmore, Gladys Vance, Grace Hess, and Bonnie Clutter. Survivors include, five sons, Frankie and wife Janet of Asbury, WV, Eddie and companion Cindy Smith of Alderson, WV, Doug and wife Amanda of Second Creek, WV, Mike Alderson of Alderson, WV, and Joe Alderson of Alderson, WV; one daughter, her pride and joy, Debbie Alderson of the home; grandchildren, Willie and Katrina Alderson, Laurel and JT Karnes, Joey and Jessica Alderson, Alexis and Nevaeh King, Brittany LaRue, Sarah Toller, and Savannah Alderson; six great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Alyssa, Alex, Ava, Evie Jo, and Jace; one sister, Gaye McKay of Marysville, OH. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Highland Park Cemetery at Highland Park with Rev. Jim Eskins officiating.
