UNION, WV – Lola Jeanette Kast, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born July 29, 1944, in Waiteville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Plinia Jennings Caldwell. Jeanette worked at BF Goodrich until her retirement. She loved making homemade blankets and enjoyed collecting cookie jars and wind chimes. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Lacy Clayton Kast; brothers, Bernard “Buddy” and Kenneth; and sister, Josephine.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Lonnie Hoke of Union, WV, Mike Hoke Sr. and wife Jeanette of Union, WV, and Chris Kast and wife Brianna of MO; two sisters, Betty and Goldie; special friend, Rowena; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the New Lebanon Cemetery in Pickaway, WV, with Rev. George Clarkson officiating.
