RONCEVERTE, WV --- Lois Velleda Beane, age 76, of Ronceverte, WV passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, WV following a long illness. Born August 2, 1938 at Georgetown, Indiana she was the daughter of the late Henry Conrad and Irene Banet Dreher. Mrs. Beane was a retired Commissioner for the Monroe County Council on Aging. She was a Women's Army Corp Veteran. She had also earned her Doctorate Degree in Religious Studies and was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband Walter Maxwell Beane of Ronceverte, WV; two sons, David Lawrence Beane of Lewisburg, WV and Jeffery Scott Beane and wife Darla of Lewisburg, WV; two daughters, Cynthia Henry and husband John of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Velleda "Eydie" Dunbar and husband Ronald of Ronceverte, WV; one brother, Billy Dreher and wife Phyllis of Greencastle, Indiana; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Adwell, David Adwell, Deborah Adwell, Michael Adwell, Crystal Adwell, Velleda Maria Vernooy, Alexis Beane, Walter Beane, Taylor Beane, Isaac Beane, Austin Beane, and Lauren Beane; nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV with Pastor Jimmy Rogers and Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery at Waiteville, WV where the WV Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites.
