ALDERSON, WV --- Lionel Jackson Mullins, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at the CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. Born October 26, 1958, in Floyd, VA, he was the son of the late Hugh Miller Mullins and Ivy Bernice Osborne Mullins. Lionel worked as a truck driver and enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Lionel was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Mullins; brother, Monroe Mullins; and sisters, Kay Caroll and Wanda Whalen.

Those left to cherish Lionel's memory include his loving wife and best friend, Jonna Mullins of Alderson, WV; one son, Nathan Mullins and wife Kathryn of Clearfork, WV; one daughter, Jackie Mullins of Cary, NC; two step-sons, Patrick Christian and Brandon of Madison, WV, and Randall Christian and girlfriend Savannah Gillespie of Gilbert, WV; two step-daughters, Megan Hatfield and husband Brandon of Gilbert, WV, and Summer Christian boyfriend Shawn Clark of Logan, WV; brother, Danny Mullins and wife Amanda of VA; sisters, Neida Coleman, Rachel Hall and husband Pete, and Jean Younce, all of VA; granddaughter, Abigail Mullins of Clearfork, WV; grandson, Timothy Daniels of Clearfork, WV; ten step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his eight dogs that he loved very much.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with Barry Harper officiating. Burial will follow at the Campground Cemetery in Wayside, WV, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00AM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
