BLACKSBURG, VA --- Linda Lou Patton Crawford, age 72, of Blacksburg, VA, formally of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 following a long illness. Born July 15, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Porter P. and Dolly Sexton Patton. Linda was a loving and caring homemaker who loved her family greatly. She had a great passion for watching sports, especially basketball and NASCAR races. She also enjoyed listening to music, and she had a great love for animals. Linda was a member of the Gap Mills Presbyterian Church at Gap Mills, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Patton; one nephew, Jonas Martin; and a special aunt, Mildred Shultz. Survivors include, her loving husband of 31 years, Robert "Bob" Crawford of Blacksburg, VA; one son, Randy Frazier and Fiancé Kim Dean of Alva, FL; one daughter, Shirley Jo Akers and husband Gary of Blacksburg, VA; one brother, James Martin and Bonnie Crawford of New Richmond, WV; two nephews, Pat and John Patton of Gap Mills, WV; special cousin, Patty Ballard of Gap Mills, WV; seven grandchildren, Sheldon Akers, Ciara Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Kelsey Frazier, Jenna Frazier, Peyton Frazier, and Hope Frazier; three great-grandchildren, Sydney Akers, Aspen Dalton, and Beau Hall; special friends, May Brown and the Toliver Family all of Gap Mills, WV; and her very special loving companion, her Shih tzu dog, Jackson.
Memorial services honoring Linda's life will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Donnie Dowdy officiating. Burial of her cremains will follow in Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. Friends may call Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
