SECOND CREEK, WV – On June 6, 2024, Lewis Elbert Hubbard, 79, of Second Creek, WV, departed from his earthly vessel to be with his Lord and cut big timber in God's bountiful forests in Heaven.

Mr. Hubbard was born on January 8, 1945, to Tony Edward and Ruby Dowdy Hubbard of Glace, WV. Lewis was a lifelong logger, owning and operating his business for 60 years. He dearly loved his occupation and took pride in working hard and honestly to accomplish any goal set before him with incomparable resiliency. He loved life, his family, and finding joy and laughter in every situation.

Lewis is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lucille McDowell and Ruth McCarty; and one brother, Marty Hubbard.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Cindy Hubbard; sons, Greg Hubbard and Carla, Rod Hubbard and Dinah, Jeff Hubbard and Tammy, and Jason Hubbard and Courtney; daughter, Bobbi Hubbard; grandson and best friend, Kelton Hubbard; grandchildren, Corianna Spinks and Jordan, Nathan Hubbard, Zachary Hubbard and Cherie, Gabriella Hubbard, Dillon Hubbard, Natalie Elmore and Matt, Arabella Hubbard, Rylee Hubbard, Layne Hubbard, Joselyn Hubbard, and Journie Painter; several great grandchildren; one sister, Carol Hoke; and brothers, Tony Jr. and Ralph Hubbard.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Ralph Hubbard and Freddie Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Park Community Church Cemetery in Second Creek, WV.
